Southampton Institute's MBA course, offered worldwide over the Internet , has won the Pounds 1,000 KPMG/Daily Echo Business Award recognising "innovation in a new product which has been commercially successful". The award is open to all Hampshire based businesses, so the institute's MBA course could have faced competition from a magnetic cat-flap or transistorised bathwater alarm.
