Participate in THE’s Impact Rankings 2026

Take part in the new Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings (previously the Impact Rankings) by subscribing to Times Higher Education’s Sustainability Impact Network.

The world’s leading impact and sustainability rating system, celebrating universities’ achievements against the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, is now a membership network offering more support, more data insights and more opportunities to showcase your strengths.

Since 2019, the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings provided a unique, global framework to evaluate, benchmark and showcase universities’ social and economic impact, framed through the lens of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – which cover everything from delivering innovation and economic growth to taking action to protect the environment.

Thousands of universities worldwide joined the assessment system – submitting evidence of the positive effect that their teaching, research, stewardship and outreach has on the world. In order to carry out the extensive evaluation and to deliver the rankings results, Times Higher Education’s expert teams collect millions of data points directly aligned with all 17 of the UN SDGs, assesses almost 4 million research publications and evaluates many tens of thousands of policy documents.

Now, to enhance our support for participating universities and to deliver them greater value, to better harness the data and insights of the system to drive performance improvement and to secure the long-term future of the world’s most comprehensive and trusted sustainability evaluation system, we are re-launching the Impact Rankings a new ratings system, the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings, underpinned by a new Sustainability Impact Network membership community.
