Lecturers' union Natfhe rightly questions the duplication at the head of the merged London Metropolitan 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ (News in brief, THES , January 23). Will Roderick Floud, formerly of Guildhall 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ, retain his ?130,000 salary as president and, if not, will Brian Roper, formerly of North London 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ, be awarded that amount as vice-chancellor - bringing his salary to nearly ?300,000?
