In the November 8 adjournment debate, MP Barry Sheerman said:

"We consulted all the universities in the area. We invited groups of students, members of staff (to give) evidence about whether and to what extent debt aversion was a problem."

Common sense suggests that the debt averse would not have been there to be consulted.
