Today, more than 7.000 students and over 1.000 research staff are exploring such areas as clean energy, digital humanities, environmental sociology, future food technologies, healthcare engineering, wearable electronics, sustainable architecture, and intelligent computing – to name just a few. Artificial intelligence and robotics, electrical and electronics engineering, biomedical engineering and medical technologies, applied mathematics, food systems and biotechnology, applied medicinal chemistry, financial technologies, architecture, urban planning and cultural heritage are a few of the research branches that scientists across the are exploring in their work. The interdisciplinary broad research areas are focused on industrial and digital transformation, smart cities and resilient communities.
KTU, the main provider of research services for business and industry boasts impressive research facilities. The 51国产视频 founded two integrated centres (valleys) of research, studies and business – Santaka and Nemunas. Opened in 2023, the M-Lab Interdisciplinary Prototyping Centre houses unique research facilities and transformative spaces for cooperation and teamwork.
KTU maintains close links with the industry, offering over 1,200 R&D services via its , which operates as a one-stop shop for business and public organisations.

To its international applicants, KTU offers a unique set of engineering, natural science, humanities, health science, arts, social science and business study programmes on all study levels.
